Of Crushes and Crashes

I have been waiting so impatiently to come back to the blogging scene that I really can not describe my excitement in words. My summer was largely uneventful due to my exams which ended today, and while I am absolutely relieved I have already started fretting about the result.

I really can not explain this feeling of dread that washes over my entire body from the exterior to the deepest cervices when I start thinking of the result. I would admit that my exams could have gone better but looking back at how much I studied I feel that they went adequate. However that feeling of internal satisfaction that glowed inside me after certain exams last year is missing. All I can do now is pray for everything to turn out for the best.

As summer draws to a close in the Northern Hemisphere of the planet we call Earth, my Summer romance with you is just starting and I intend to Phunk you to the maximum. Starting things off with the most imporant topic - Josh!

Josh and I have been doing well. I met him once during my exams when I had a particularly large gap between my papers. It was a quick meeting at a local Pizza parlor, and we seemed to be enjoying. While nobody has bought up the issue of commitment yet, I feel that the issue is somewhat already at the table. However I do not feel a spark, and that thought scares me alot. I do not want to proceed until I am absolutely sure about how I feel, but I can not vouch for Josh's feelings.

Our meeting at Pizza Parlor was entirely casual. It was so casual that I wore shorts and T-shirt to it, which is something I have never done with any of the past dates. Mistakenly during the date I brushed his toes, we both were wearing flip flops. The single brush led to alot under the table brushing. I hope nobody saw our toe dance. LOL!

Intimacy is another thing that has been creeping into our conversations. I do want to kiss him, I'm curious to feel his stubble rub against my chin. I feel at times that perhaps a kiss would trigger the spark I am searching for. However a kiss can also lead to complications in the sense that he takes it much more deeper than intended. He's a nice guy, and I really don't want to hurt him. With him being younger, I perceive it to be synonymous with fragility. I really don't know how this will play out so I'm taking it one step at a time as carefully as I can.

On naughtier aspect I spied with my little eye a real hottie. I really couldn't take my eyes off him. I remember seeing a guy similar to him in my previous exams, he's from a sister institute. But it's been about six months since I last sat for exams so I am not entirely sure.

Everytime I would look at him, my heart would start racing. Generally guys are described as 'Handsome', but he's 'Pretty'. He's really really pretty. He rates pretty wild on both Ryan and my Gaydar. While I am not entirely sure about the crap piece of machinery in my mind, but Ryan's Gaydar is spot-on.

So I sit down in my exam hall, and turns out that he is sitting right in front of me. I catch a whiff of some really expensive D&G crap coming from him, and that's all my body needed to start floating in air. I actually leaned forward once I was done with my papers to catch a few extra sniffs. Needless to say I was looking forward to my next paper just so I could smell and see him again. The second paper didn't go well for him so once it was done he turned around to discuss and we became friends. On the third and last paper, we exchanged numbers.

When the schedule for further exams came out, his schedule coincided with mine on the minutest details. I know it is so ridiculous of me to talk about Josh and then this guy in the same sense, but little things like this make me think that I'm not up for a commitment. We practiced clinical examinations on each other one the day of the paper, and at the end of the paper he asked me if I would like to go out sometime with his friends.

"I guess I could make an effort. Let me know if anything comes up!", I told him. The whole idea of going out with him even if it's with his group of friends is pretty exciting to me. Once again I am on Square One, do I really deserve to be with Josh?

Would You Let Me Love You Long Time, Joe Manganiello?

I'm thinking of doing a new feature of 'Hunk of the Month'. Since I have a new crush almost every month on some random TV celebrity, I would like to do a feature on them. Once a month, one hunk!

I'm going to be starting off with the True Blood hottie Joe Manganiello. I saw him in the 3rd season of True Blood, which I am watching now because I was incredibly busy when it was originally airing. He made his first appearance in the most recent season as Alcide Herveaux, a werewolf.

When I first saw him during the 3rd episode my heart started going a mile a minute and then I tried to remember where I have seen him before. Definitely not in my dreams, but then where?!

And then it hit me. I've seen him in one of my all time favorite TV series How I Met Your Mother as one of Marshall's friends. I could swear the producers had hired him to take his clothes off on every possible occasion and I remember watching all those scenes again and again involving him for that. Yeah, I know I'm shallow!

Joe Mangeniello, I'm going to keep asking till you say 'Yes'. Would you let me love you long time?

But instead of simply put up pictures, I'm going to be adding little snippets from some of my favorite songs. Like in this case, I'm serenading Joe with Black Eyed Peas's 'Love You Long Time' from their most recent album The Beginning. Sort of makes it a little more original, in my opinion!

Then Queer, Now Free

Roll your eyes as much as you but I'm a huge Reality TV Whore. I thoroughly enjoy watching shows like American Idol, X Factor, Top Chef, Project Runway and even America's Next Top Model. Yes! I watch America's Next Top Model!

I know it's not the best thing to put out about myself but nobody said I have to be perfect. But yeah, I watch only America's Next Top Model. I don't bother with the Australian edition or the British version for that matter. I'm just crazy about the US of A. Besides I think Australian and British girls are abit of a snob types. They have got so many issues.

In the most recent cycle; that is cycle 15, there is an openly lesbian contestant Kayla Ferell. No, it's not that she's the first lesbian to ever appear on the show. There have been many through the cycles. There has even been a transsexual contestant, Isis King.

In cycle 15, the very first photo shoot the girls were put through was based around the theme of Teen Bullying. It revolved around a particular word the girl was taunted with during her time in middle school or high school. Kayla has been open about her sexuality since 10th Grade. It's pretty obvious to conclude that she has been teased about it. Her bully-word happened to be 'Queer'. Pfft! The bullies could not even get creative.

Tyra showed up at the shoot because she wanted to help the girls and not let their bully-word over power them. She told every girl to choose a word in context to the bully-word but it should be in a positive sense. Something that reinforces positivity and induces confidence into them. She sat down with every girl and helped them through. They showed some of the girls one-on-one time with Tyra and Kayla's time was included. You can catch it here.

When Tyra asked Kayla about her bully-word, the response was like a quiver. Like she was scared for her life. She recalled how she had to change schools because it had gotten so bad at her previous one and she was scared at how the people were treating her. They used to talk about her sexuality, ultimately she started facing rejection. Rejection is bad enough to get at any point in life, but to be rejected during high school is the absolute worst. High school is undeniably one of the toughest parts of a person's life because there is so much happening at the same time. It's hard not to let it all take over yourself.

Her power-word was 'Free'. Her entire body was covered with the words 'Queer' and 'Free' written in paint. She describes the process of the word 'Queer' being written as harsh, and it has to be. When you are taunted by some word, the first thing you want to do in response is not to be associated with it. Having it written over your own body is like wearing it. Fortunately Kayla was also excited about the word 'Free' being written on herself. She recalls how therapeutic the word 'Free' felt when it was painted over her neck.

"You can't like fully understand unless you are what I am in my community" - Kayla Ferell

I could not put these sage words any better than she already has. Ever since you have been a kid you have been exposed to the idea about unions can only be formed between a man and a woman, and that only the attraction between a man and woman is natural. So to grow up and realize that your mind says something else and your heart is singing a completely different song is really hard to comprehend, accept and live your life through like that. Every person who is growing up facing the issue of sexuality feels the same. The feeling that nobody can really understand what is going on with them. Every guy is discussing about boobs and butts, it's hard to say that you don't. Most teens don't because it's going to turn into a lengthy and possibly an embarrassing or even worse, a violent conversation. This attitude is carried on into adulthood and in some unfortunate cases through life.

LGBT teens do not want to be ridiculed and humiliated. No teen wants to feel like they don't deserve to live. But all this bullying does make LGBT children feel that way, that's why there have been 4 suicides in the past few weeks. These are just the ones that have come into news. What about those that haven't? What about the ones unheard and unseen?

Teen Bullying doesn't just exist in America. Teen Bullying is everywhere in the world. I have been bullied and I'm pretty sure each and everyone of you have been bullied as well. While my bully-word was nothing harsh like 'Queer'. I was termed 'Mama's Boy'. I won't deny that it didn't hurt because it did. But now I realize that was me being 'Obedient'. At the end of the day, I owe my mother alot more than I whatever I owed to people inviting me to parties or whatever they were planning.

To any teen reading my blog, if you are being bullied you can seek help from this website. It's also been mentioned in the video that I have linked earlier in this post. It's time to take a stand! It's time to put these bullies into their rightful place.

On a side, Kayla has been doing extremely well in the competition up till now. She is not only amongst the judges favorite but also a favorite amongst the viewers. I'm totally rooting for her to take the crown. Check out her picture from last week where she was an undersea Goddess.

06/14/2010

Yesterday Nathan got done with his exam, and I can very honestly say that I was just as glad as him for them getting over. It's been days since we had talked over on yahoo messenger. It's not like we were not in touch, but exchanging 'Good Morning' and 'Good Night' messages just doesn't compare to talking for a good three to four hours in a row about everything under the sun.

From 10 pm to 2 am, we were talking. Nathan was online from his laptop and I was online from my cell. I have two cell phones. One is not at all flashy that I basically take with me everytime I go out, after having two awesome cells taken from me at gun-point, I really didn't feel safe carrying around a flashy one with me everyday. So anyhow I have two cells, the flashy one stays at home and that's the one I use to talk to Nathan. It's always pumped with bucket loads of credit and even if I have credit in it, I put more in. I never ever want to be caught dead without credit in my flashy cell. The flashy cell also happens to be a touch screen one, and having not used it much before I totally lost the feel of it. My speed of texting was so freak'in slow yesterday, LOL...I need to brush up fast. Nathan freaks out very easily when I reply late!

However before things got all cosy and rosy, we ran face first into an arguments. And this argument would have never happened had out stupid cell service been considerate enough to send our messages across to each other. He didn't get my 'Best of Luck' message and 'How did your paper go?' message, and consequently I didn't get his 'My paper went good' message. Argh, I hate to be so dependent on technology. Romances suffers drastically!

The miscommunication soon cleared over and we went back to being sickeningly sweet and sappy romance stricken romeos that we usually are. I gifted him the torrent for the first episode of True Blood Season 3 which aired last Sunday and boy, was he pleased! Had he been here, things would have gotten truly really dirty!

Speaking of True Blood; Lord, what an opening episode. Single episode and I got to see both Alexander Skarsgard's buns of steel and Ryan Kwanten's bubble butt. OMG!! Did they just cut out a slice of Heaven and serve it to me in a silver platter? But that's not even the best part of yesterday's episode. The small gay sequences between Stephen Moyer and Sam Trammell was mind-blowing. I was literally expecting some lip actions between the two. But I'm partly glad it didn't happen, my dick would have ripped it's way out of my very comfortable Adidas trousers and done something crazy. But seriously, those of you who haven't been watching True Blood and are depressed that there is nothing on TV in Summer except for re-runs, tune into True Blood. You will be more than just satisfied!

Also Nathan gave me the very good news that's he coming to Pakistan on 26th June. God, this is going to be EPIC! You call already probably guess how excited I am! I'm going to be meeting him on 26th, if not then 28th definitely. Man, I'm juiced so bad! For more pictures from the episode you can click here, thanks to an anonymous reader for providing the link!

Also keep an eye for an introductory post that will be up very soon about a very important friend of mine. He's the digital equivalent of Ryan, one of my closest friends. Or as I like to term him, my Cristina! ;)

Don't be confused! It's a complicated relation! You'll know all about him tomorrow! Yes, it's a him!

The Power of Madonna

Madonna..simply saying the word aloud makes me feel powerful, even in voice over. How I have worshipped her ever since I was a little girl!

Sorry Angie Jo Lee! Katherine, the Great! Madonna is the most powerful woman to ever walk the face of the Earth!

Those words, are not mine! They belong the a certain Sue Sylvester. I have not worshipped Madonna, but I have admired her from a distance. She's most definitely one of the biggest performers to ever be discovered and her music is not fixed to a particular generation. Much like the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson, her music is of a life-time.

I do happen to worship the TV show Glee though. I'm a huge fan of Glee. Huge, huge, huge fan of Glee!

Ever since I first read about it's conception I have been excited about it. It's a musical!

Musicals have been a constant fascination for me. Ever since I have gotten to know about Broadway, it's on my to-do list to go see at least one of the show. Suggestions of what to watch are welcome!

Coming back to Madonna, I also happen to be a huge fan of her. My obsession with her started when I saw her song Jump being played on Channel V sometime back in 2006. I purchased her last two albums, Confessions on a Dancefloor and Hard Candy. Once I got familar with downloading, I gave her entire catalogue a listen. No one quite like the Material Girl to empower one's music collection.

Sometime around the beginning of 2010, I saw the announcement for Glee people planning a Madonna tribute episode. Needless to say I was ecstatic. Two of my favorite things combined. It's magical!

I had two presentations in the past week and a test to top that. While I had downloaded the episodes, I had not gotten a chance to watch them till today. And I was simply blown away. I had this big stupid smile like I do when I'm talking to Nathan. I loved every minute of it. Sue Sylvester is definitely the high light of the show, especially in this episode. Her re-creation of Madonna's Vogue was exhilarating to watch. Not quite as graceful as Madonna, but given her character's personality the video came out perfect. It's exactly how it should have been!

The musical numbers were amazing. I especially liked Express Yourself and 4 Minutes. But I do amit that it was hard to pick a favorite. Also my crush on Kurt (Chris Colfer) is fully re-instated as of now. I simply adored his preppie look and sassy attitude during the 4 Minutes musical number. It was so effing brilliant. Also that boy most definitely has the chops to sing with the best of them.

I'm giving this episode a 9.5 outta 10! Why am I knocking of .5?

Well since it's all about Madonna. Why not include a cameo of her very delicous arm candy, Jesus Luz?

Yummy! I most definitely need some Jesus in my life!

Also I'm loving the depth they've added to Quinn (Diana Agron) this season. I guess being knocked up does knock some sense into a person. About time a certain celebrity who's first name rhymes with Faris should start looking for a beau to get busy with, don't you think?

Also I'm hearing that Ryan Murphy; the man behind Glee, is thinking of doing more celebrity centered episodes. And more specifically a Britney Spears theme is in the pipe-line. I can only wonder what will happen next!

Sexy Show Delivers Sexy Men!!

I'm sure you all must be aware of Glee, the hottest TV series to debut last fall. I'm absolutely crazy about it and can't wait for the series to start again. Coming Tuesday, they're doing a Madonna special. But I'm not here to talk about Glee. I'm here to talk about the HBO hit series, True Blood. I was completely convinced that HBO would never again be able to host something as spectacular as Sex and The City, and I'm so glad that they proved me wrong. True Blood is definitely one of the it things on the telly nowadays. One of the reasons I'm a huge fan, is because of the gorgeous male leads that they feature; they are a gay man's dream come true.

Before True Blood came along, the Gossip Girl trio had me hooked. I had even secretly joined the Facebook group that whined that how their school didn't have such good looking boys in their male student body. While Gossip Girl keeps on delivering more and more to the palette, they can in no possible way rank higher than True Blood. That, my friends, is my extremely hormonal opinion. These boys have the ability to knock of socks and another piece of garment right of anyone. The men of True Blood have left everyone behind in a cloud of pixie dust!

I just can't get over how amazingly good looking they all happen to be. Sure, they're actor and they're paid to look good and make others feel bad. But still! It's plain cruel injustice at times to witness all those steely buns, sculpted abdomials and defined pectorals, and not being able to touch them. Recently the trio have been featured separately on the new issue of Details Magazine. Check out the covers below;

Personally speaking, I prefer the sun-kissed boy toy Ryan Kwanten. My best friend; Ryan, drools over the masculine, brooding hunk Alex Skarsgard. Another gay friend of mine is gaga about the mature daunting appeal of Stephen Meyer. Too bad the magazine isn't available in Pakistan, I wouldn't mind purchasing the Ryan Kwanten copy for myself.

It almost makes me want to walk up to Kwanten and ask him;

Besides being sexy, what else do you do for a living?

What about you? Why are you so quiet? Confess who makes you go meowrrrr!!

Young Love

Ugly Betty has always been one of my all-time favorite shows to watch. The cast, the chemistry, the energy, the one-liners, the settings, the cameos, the concept..everything is just so darn appealing! I didn't watch the first season or the second one for the matter, but started watching it from the third season. One of my friends got me hooked on to it. I got him to watch Gossip Girl and he got me to watch Ugly Betty. Needless to say, we both got addicted to the suggestions.

Sadly the current on-going season is the last season to air. Stupid ABC is cancelling the show due to poor ratings, how could they do this to me?!

Anyhow the reason I'm bringing this to you, is to check out the best moment of television of 2010 to date. I'm in absolute love with this scene and you all need to check it out!

I'm going to be blogging more on this later, because right now I need to split. I got a test tomorrow and I've resigned myself to failure. My teachers seem to hate me already, so I'm just giving them one more reason to be happy.

Wish me luck!

Katherine Kisses A Girl

Now I don't know how many of you are following the current season of Desperate Housewives. Those of you who aren't aware, they are airing the sixth season. My feelings towards it are kind of meh, while the season did start with a power punch. But lately it seems to be loosing steam. Since Season 4, Dana Delany who plays the role of Katherine Mayfair, has earned a permanent spot on the cast. With the death of Nicole Sheridan's character; Edie, last season Dana was supposed to get the spot light treatment in the current one. But her storyline is anything but interesting in the recent episodes.

The producers have her going down Lesbian lanes with the the ex-stripper Robin Gallagher. While I do get that sometimes people attempt to try out the chemistry dynamics with members of the same-sex. Despite having absolutely no history of attractions towards members of the same sex. It is such a weak and frail storyline for someone who has the star-billing. I'm not surprised that Dana is quitting after this season. You can catch the start of this saga below;

A big fat Hallelujah to Felicity Huffman's strong story-line and amazing delivery, Eva Longoria Parker sassy acting, the very cute Mason Vale Cotton and the very handsome Beau Mirchoff that this season is still on my viewing list. Otherwise I would have given up hope on it a very long time ago.
