Etude House Lucidarling Fantastic Rouge Gloss 07

It all started with the Korean dramas and now, I’m really addicted with Korean movies, actors and actresses, cosmetics, skincare and even ice cream! So please bear with me readers for not being able to review products from my May Haul but I promise to do reviews on them.

But for now, I’ll do a review on another korean brand that I love, none other than the Etude House Lucidarling Fantastic Rouge Gloss. I purchased this last November 2010 and sorry for reviewing it only now. I’m so late as always.

Careline lipgloss in 101 and EH Lucidarling Lipgloss are my favorites. These are my on-the-go lipglosses. I use this several times already, from everyday makeup to school occasions. I used this alone or together with any pink lipsticks I have. The shade is just so flexible that I can use it whenever, however, whatever I like.

So here’s my detailed review on EH Lucidarling Fantastic Rouge Gloss in 07.

Color:

A mauvey pink shade. A perfect everyday lipgloss.

Packaging
Packaging looks so girly. But after few months, the label will definitely fade.
I love the applicator; it doesn’t look cheap as careline. The applicator is durable and sponge in the application tip is bendable.

Smell: The smell is adorable! It smells sweet but not overpowering.

Pigmentation/Texture/ Finish/ Consistency:
Pigmentation? It’s not a lipstick so don’t expect the pigmentation to be as great as lipsticks. It is not as opaque as careline lipgloss but I actually like it this way. It has tiny shimmers in it which are very nice to give your lips an illusion of moisture and makes your lips really standout.

Texture -wise, it is slightly thick and sticky but not like Victoria Secret’s lipglosses. It glides smoothly on my lips. I don’t have any problems in applying the lipgloss.

Staying Power:
It stays on me for 3-4 hours but stays longer on the lips of my friend. When I did my friend’s makeup for our school’s program, I use this on top of NYX Tea Rose and to my surprise it helps the lipsticks to lasts longer. Usually, it is not advisable to use lipgloss because it tends slide off our lips making our lipstick stays shorter than usual. But to my surprise, the two lip products lasted her for 5 hours (Note: without eating). I don’t know what’s up with this lipgloss but yes, I love the staying power for a lipgloss.  It doesn’t stay as long as Careline lipgloss though but I was very satisfied since I was not expecting that much.

Price: Php 378
Would I repurchased: Yes

I got it in shade 101.

Careline Lipgloss enriched with Vitamin E

I usually do my reviews after a week or even months of testing a product. But because I love these lipglosses, I can’t wait to share them with you.

These glosses are none other than CARELINE Lipgloss Enriched with Vitamin E. I’ve never tried Careline before just because their packaging looks very cheap. But I was so wrong. Just like the saying, “Don’t judge a book by its cover.”  Haha! I just recently got these, but I am so inlove with these. I regret that I only purchased two shades. But definitely, I will be back for more.

If you know me alot, you will definitely think that the shades that I got are not my shades. I like lipsticks that suits for  everyday but it never hurts to have these adorable shades on my makeup kit. I love playing around with these lovely shades.

Moving on with the reviews.

CARELINE LIPGLOSS ENRICHED WITH VIT. E

Describe the color:

104- A very lovely pink color with warm undertone.

111- A bright orangey red color

Packaging:
It comes in a test tube-like container and a sponge applicator. I like the applicator alot just because it’s easier to use compared to click pen type (just like Revlon Creme gloss). I find this alot easier in controlling the amount of product in the applicator.

Smell:
It smells great! In itsjudytime’s video, she describes the scent as "peachy" -like scent.

Pigmentation/Texture/ Finish/ Consistency:
Wow, this is amazing! I don’t think it’s a lipgloss, it’s more like a liquid lipstick! I really like how pigmented it is! It glides smoothly on my lips too. It’s not drying on lips. You could wear this with or without lip balm underneath.

Staying Power:
Even though the consistency is very rich and glides smoothly on lips, this stays longer than most of my lipsticks and lipglosses! It’s not forever on lips, but stays amazingly even after drinking and eating (shade 111). I really love it!

Note: The shade 111 stays longer that shade 104.

What I love most:
This is so far the best lip gloss that I purchased. Staying power is amazing! And it’s not drying on lips! And it’s very cheap!

What I hate most:
You can only purchase this at Robinsons Mall!
Only 12 shades. More shades please

Php 60.00

REVLON CREME GLOSS IN PATENT LEATHER PINK

Hi everyone! Last night, I was actually pushing myself to do a review on some products that I owned but ended up with nothing... What’s the matter with me? Just today, I realized that I hate writing novels on my blog plus I’m not really great in writing. But yes, I still want to share with you my passion for makeup.

So, I decided to change how I write (just a little bit). I want my reviews to be short and direct, in this way I could write more reviews and you could read it with ease.
Anyways, let’s proceed to the product.

REVLON CREME GLOSS IN PATENT LEATHER PINK

Describe the color:
A bright, berry pinkish color with fine shimmers. Revlon describes this fine shimmers as “light reflecting particles give lips a fuller appearance.”

Packaging:
It comes in a sleek twist pen packaging like this.
Open the cap. Twist the other end part and product comes out.
The brush is actually good too.
Smells:
It smells weird and if you are very particular with scent, you might wanna skip this product.

Pigmentation:
Very much pigmented. It’s more like a lip color / liquid lipstick than a lipgloss.

Texture/ Finish/ Consistency:
Thicker compared to most lipglosses.  Gives a healthy finish, good for ladies with chapped lips.

Staying Power:
Average as a lipstick, superb as a lipgloss.

What I love most:
The finish is adorable!  I use this during the days when I get irritated on my lipsticks for drying my lips.

What I hate most:
It goes on my teeth.

Price:
Php 475 at Revlon

Will buy again?
Yes!

Elf Luscious Liquid Lipstick

Elf Luscious Liquid Lipstick in Pink Lemonade

Elf says,
"True color therapy is here. Intensive hydrating agents along with natural pigments leave lips with long-lasting color and moisture. This luscious liquid lipstick creates wearable color that flatters a multitude of skin tones and looks"

The moment I applied this, I was disappointed because I was expecting a liquid “lipstick” not a gloss. It has this slight amount of color but looks like a gloss on me. It’s hydrating and feels good because it doesn’t give me this sticky feeling on my lips. Not long lasting though. It stays for an hour or less.Though, I still think it’s worth a try. If you’re looking for a lip gloss that’s not too sticky, I do recommend this. It has many beautiful shades I’m sure you’ll love. So, that's it! I still like this.

PROS
>I like the sponge applicator
>Works as Lip gloss
> doesn't dry out my lips as it wears off
>Makes my lips really luscious looking
>CHEAP!

CONS
>Don’t expect you get a lot of product on this tube
>Not a LIPSTICK! Poor Pigmentation
>Not a long wearing product. You have to apply it every now and then

PRICE: Php 130 at E.l.f.
Rate: 3.5/5
Would I recommend this? Yes, it's worth a try. It's moisturizing and affordable. Just don't expect too much. :) Again, not a lipstick! Not long lasting! :)

ETUDE HOUSE MAGIC TINT BALM

ETUDE HOUSE MAGIC TINT BALM

Chapped lips are my usual problem until I discovered EH Magic Tint Balm. It’s really a Magic!

Bare Lips

With EH Magic Tint Balm

At first look, it looks like it’s flavored but truth is, it’s not. It doesn’t have any taste but it has a fruity scent. The consistency of this balm is thick. I don’t think it’s a bad thing though ‘coz this makes the balm last longer than the average lip balm. When applied, it gives me a natural tinge of color on my lips which I really like. It feels nice too. This pot will sure lasts me for a long time; it’s huge for a balm.

PROS

>Has fruity scent
>Good staying power for a lip balm
>Looks natural on lips
>relieved my chapped/dry lips
>CHEAP!

CONS
>Some girls don’t like lip balm on a pot

PRICE: Php 198.00 at Etude House
Rate: 5/5
Would I recommend this? Yes! Yes! It’s Cheap but it works!

VICTORIA'S SECRET LIP GLOSS

VS BEAUTY RUSH LIP GLOSS
I was, literally, eating this product on my lips. It has this sweet taste I can’t resist. As advertised, it has this beautiful shimmers (not glitters) that make my lips look healthier, you know what I mean.  This is one of my favorite! I love wearing this everyday in spite of the sticky feeling it gives. Though, I don’t like the packaging. I hate lip gloss in tube like this because sometimes, I have to use the top of the tub for application. I hate it when I pressed a lot of the product out of the tube because it makes the top of the tube really sticky.

PROS

>If you want to impress your boyfriend, this one is for you because it has a sweet taste that lasts longer than any other lipglosses with flavors.
>I was licking my lips over and over but still, the gloss stays on my lips for an hour or two.

CONS

>Since it lasts longer expect a thick and sticky lip gloss
>Pricey for a lip gloss(or that's just me?)

Rate: 4/5
Would I recommend this? If you want a thick, sticky lipgloss and doesn’t care about price, well, I would recommend this to you.
