My most recent haul

No haul posts for 3 months?! Sorry! Although, I did getmyself few stuff those months but wasn’t able to do a post because I amobviously busy! I bought alot of different skincare stuff (because my skin isgetting worse!) and few makeup things. Plus, I also got myself a new cellphone!
Darn it. Forgot to take a pic. This picture was taken from Yugatech.com
Yipee! Although it is just a blackberry curve since I can’t afford to buyexpensive cellphones. Maybe, someday?!

Anyway, I did a little shopping last Friday (last day of my1st semester) and I decided to share it with you.

I went to Etude House mainly because some of my fans infacebook requested Etude House as additional prizes for my giveaway. As I wasbrowsing around, I was like, “Omg, i don’t have enough money to buy 2 petitedarling lipstick” since 1 will costs me Php 278. My actual budget for EtudeHouse for that day is only Php 1,000 (kasi yuuungg cellphone eee, wala na kong pera wahaha!) but I spentmore than my budget. I spent like php 1, 200+ (for EH alone) I guess so Iwasn’t able to buy 2 lipsticks. Pls don’t kill me my readers, I will try to addsomething for package 5 promise! EH gave me a mask as a freebie for my purchase.

Then I went lookingfor Elf duo Blush and Bronzer but they’re not available anywhere. I dunno why.I even asked my sister to look for blush and bronzer on Greenbelt but it is outof stock too. Why oh why?

The two elf in the picture is a blush in peachy keen and aneyebrow kit. I already did a review on eyebrow kit, and it was actually my firstever blog post! Wow! For the blush, this reminds me alot of Ever Bilena inBrown. I will do a review on the blush soooon!

During that day also, I bought a back case for my cellphone kasi I'm the most careless person! (Kaya tuloy nanakawan LOL!)

Okay, I'm not a fan of ANGRY BIRDS! Honestly, I was not happy with this case. I was looking for a girl-y looking backcase and I saw something with Gold design at the store. I was about to buy that when my boyfriend stopped me from buying it. Then, he told me to buy this one instead. After a little talk, I decided to give in. Okay, ikaw na! Ikaw na panalo. LOL! When I came home, I was really disappointed and promised that I won't ever listened to him again. HAHAH! Just kidding! In fairness, the case wasn't bad at all, I just don't like the color. That's all. :) Btw, I got it in SM Manila at Cellboy for Php 350.00.

This next thing, I did  not purchased that day but I was just happy to share it with you because..... it is PURPLE! LOL! Purple is 2nd most favorite color *next to pink*

I purchased this bag from my classmate for Php 800. It is not an original Jansport bag but I swear, the color is very beautiful in reality! It wasn't a plain purple color. I don't know how to explain it but it is a purple with blue sheen to it. Very pretty. Plus, it's fun wearing the same bag with my College best buddies. Astig lang pag magkakasama kami ;p

What else do I need to share with you? I think that's all Watch out for my next reviews probably today or tomorror or the day after tomorrow ;p

Oh please please don't forget to join my giveaway contest!IT WILL END ON OCT 25 SO PLEASE HURRY AND JOIN

UNTIL THEN!

Etude House Happy Teatime Waterproof Lip and Eye remover tissue

You probably have seen this on my Mid-June haul. I got this during Etude House 20% sale.

To be honest, this is my first ever eye and makeup remover. Okay, you can shoot me now. Sometimes, I wonder why I never had the chance to buy things like this, is it because I’m cheap? Maybe not. It’s just that I’m contented with using baby oil to remove my mascara. Hey, it works okay.

Oh well, but during the sale of etude house, Hollie suggested to pick Eye and Lips makeup remover. I think it’s the one in liquid form. Anyway, I went to etude house for THREE TIMES! and it’s always the same OUT-OF-STOCK thing-y. So instead of waiting, I decided to purchase this one instead.

So here’s my detailed review on this

Let me start with the price. Maybe, I’m not cheap at all. This costs me Php 148 for 15 SHEETS! Well, truth is i don’t know that it has only 15 sheets because if I do, I will definitely have to think first because purchasing this. Oh well, that is what I get from not reading first the packaging. Lesson learned. Forgive me, it’s my first lip and eye makeup remover haha!

So, basically, the packaging looks like the typical wet tissue that you see in supermarkets.
The tissue/paper is quite thick which is good and it has this hole in the middle where you can slip your fingers to hold the tissue.
The tissue is ofcourse wet but it’s not like the typical wet tissue. It has a scent of a tea tree, obviously. On my face, it’s like oil but less greasy. So no need to worry, it’s not as greasy as putting baby oil on your eyes.

For removing power, i find it pretty average. You can’t remove waterproof mascara with just one or two wipes. It takes not just 3 but almost countless wipes to remove everything on your eyes. haha! To clarify things again, yes it does remove waterproof mascaras. But you have to be patient. Before, with the baby oil, it takes only 3-5 wipes to remove waterproof mascaras. BUT, with baby oil you have to get used with the greasy feeling on your eye area.
Anyway, i still love this. In fact, I think makeup remover in packaging like this is more convenient. I bring this in school all the time. Why? Because being a beauty blogger means you have to try different products onhand. For instance, I bought eyeliner and used it for the first time in school. And so damn, it gives me panda eyes! Boy, I need to remove it right away! I'm so glad I had this.

Overall, it’s a good product and very convenient to use, it is just pricey for my taste. I might try other brands.

PROS:
-The name of the product is very true to its scent
-Convenient to bring
-removes waterproof mascaras and eyeliners
-it does have a greasy feeling but it’s not like those in baby oils

CONS
-pricey, php 148/15 sheets

Etude house Green Tea Nose Pack and Essence Mask

Hi ladies! This is a quick post on the recent things I've tried from Etude House.

Etude House Green Tea Nose Pack
I do have a huge problem with the blackheads on my nose. That is why during the 20% sale, I decided to get this product.

So here's the step on how to do it . I know the instruction is written at the back of the sheet but it was incomplete.

Wet your nose with water.Remove clear film from the pack and fasten adhesive side to nose. Remove strip when dry  Wet the nose strip on your nose with water. You have to wet the nose strip so that the product will works. If you only wet your nose and not the nose strip, you will definitely be disappointed with the result. (see picture below to know why)
Remove the strip when dry.

So here's the result
Removing the nose strip
Notice on the left side of the strip, i did not wet the outer part of the strip with water and the result, no blackhead was removed. While on the other part, most of my blackheads were removed.

Ewww. i know right haha!
I'm quite happy with the strip. It's a bit pricier compared to the typical nose strips from Watsons but I think it is worth a try. I might buy this again or maybe not. I'm not yet sure. If I would repurchase it again, it's because it smells good. it reminds me of...of... green tea. hahaa! of course! :)) If I would not repurchase this it's because I want to try other nose pack.. I'm eyeing the charcoal nose pack from tony moly. I'm interested with products with charcoal since i know that they really work!

ESSENCE MASK HYALURONIC ACID

I haven't tried lots of mask before, in fact the only mask that I've tried is from Queen Helene. What i hate about wash-off masks is how messy they are during the application. So I know I have to settle with sheets mask as they are more convenient (but pricier).

The cutting is a bit bigger than my face but it is okay so that people with bigger faces would be able to use them.

I heard from Korea Cosmetics the effect of mask would be better if you fridge it before using it.

I left the mask on my face for 20 mins then remove it. I was happy with the result. My skin felt hydrated. I did not felt any tightness unlike when I use Queen Helene mask. My skin was smooth and soft after.

I would like to repurchase this than Queen Helene for the following reasons:
1. It doesn't contain paraben
2. Not drying on skin.
3. Queen Helene effect: Smooth, refreshed and clean (with a slight feeling of dryness)
Ehouse mask effect: SOFT, smooth, hydrated.
Scary!

hahaha! I look so funny in my pics! Okay okay! I don't like to post it originally but I had no choice! Please be nice to me. hahaha! :)

Etude House Natural Jelly Cleansing Puff

Tomorrow is the last day of sale on Etude House and I was really in hurry to do a blog post on Etude House products so atleast you could have an idea on the things you could purchase on their sale.

I did not buy much last time because almost all the things on my list are out of stock at SM Manila. Anyhow, I was able to pick some items I haven’t tried yet. Check out my Mid-June Haul. Everything I purchased are really good and cheap.

I highly recommend all the things I purchased on my last visit at Etude House. They are all great items except for the auto lip liner which is pretty average for me.

Anyhow, I haven’t tried the nose pack and Essence Mask yet so I couldn’t tell you how great they are.

Today, I will be reviewing the Etude House Natural Jelly Cleansing Puff which is very cheap at Php 178.

It is made from 100% natural jelly.

How to use:
Put your cleanser/ facial foam on the puff then gently scrub it on your face.

I highly recommend this since we all need to scrub our face once in a while to remove the dirt and exfoliate our skin.

Another thing I love about this is it helps your facial wash to form bubbles (lots of bubbles!). I’m not really sure what’s the benefit of foam with so much bubbles but I think most people would like their facial wash to have lots of bubbles just to satisfy their visual... needs (?!?) ..what am I talking about hahaha!?  What I mean is... to see is to believe. People likes more bubbles because they think that the more bubbles, the cleaner and more effective the cleansers are. Get it?

Do you want to see bubbles?
Say hello to my newly opened Jelly Cleansing Puff. Ohh, you're so squishy
Cleansing puff with my celeteque facial wash
Then squeeze...
Squeeze more. BUBBLES!

More bubbles! yey!

See the bubbles?

So yes, for short, I like this product! I will definitely repurchase again. I like it more than the facial sponge in Watsons.

Etude House Lucidarling Fantastic Rouge Gloss 07

It all started with the Korean dramas and now, I’m really addicted with Korean movies, actors and actresses, cosmetics, skincare and even ice cream! So please bear with me readers for not being able to review products from my May Haul but I promise to do reviews on them.

But for now, I’ll do a review on another korean brand that I love, none other than the Etude House Lucidarling Fantastic Rouge Gloss. I purchased this last November 2010 and sorry for reviewing it only now. I’m so late as always.

Careline lipgloss in 101 and EH Lucidarling Lipgloss are my favorites. These are my on-the-go lipglosses. I use this several times already, from everyday makeup to school occasions. I used this alone or together with any pink lipsticks I have. The shade is just so flexible that I can use it whenever, however, whatever I like.

So here’s my detailed review on EH Lucidarling Fantastic Rouge Gloss in 07.

Color:

A mauvey pink shade. A perfect everyday lipgloss.

Packaging
Packaging looks so girly. But after few months, the label will definitely fade.
I love the applicator; it doesn’t look cheap as careline. The applicator is durable and sponge in the application tip is bendable.

Smell: The smell is adorable! It smells sweet but not overpowering.

Pigmentation/Texture/ Finish/ Consistency:
Pigmentation? It’s not a lipstick so don’t expect the pigmentation to be as great as lipsticks. It is not as opaque as careline lipgloss but I actually like it this way. It has tiny shimmers in it which are very nice to give your lips an illusion of moisture and makes your lips really standout.

Texture -wise, it is slightly thick and sticky but not like Victoria Secret’s lipglosses. It glides smoothly on my lips. I don’t have any problems in applying the lipgloss.

Staying Power:
It stays on me for 3-4 hours but stays longer on the lips of my friend. When I did my friend’s makeup for our school’s program, I use this on top of NYX Tea Rose and to my surprise it helps the lipsticks to lasts longer. Usually, it is not advisable to use lipgloss because it tends slide off our lips making our lipstick stays shorter than usual. But to my surprise, the two lip products lasted her for 5 hours (Note: without eating). I don’t know what’s up with this lipgloss but yes, I love the staying power for a lipgloss.  It doesn’t stay as long as Careline lipgloss though but I was very satisfied since I was not expecting that much.

Price: Php 378
Would I repurchased: Yes

Mid-June Haul

First, my greetings to all dads! Happy Father’s day to all dads!

Secondly, a shout out to my twin’s friend Jessica. Hi Jessica! Thanks for reading my blog! When my twin told me about you, I was flattered and worried at the same time. Oh my goodness, you’re a UP graduate (now, taking Medicine at Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila) and you’re reading my blog. I’m sure you’re very good in English but thank you for appreciating my blog. Feel free to correct my grammars hahaha! Just kidding! But seriously, I was very happy when she told me that you are really reading my blog without knowing that Elena is actually my sister. J

Third, sharing time! These are the few things I got for mid-June. I bought very few makeup items, yey! What a good girl, Eloisa! I’m so proud of you.

Anyways, let’s start!

Makeup Items:

Modelco Designer Eyebrow Kit in Dark
My first purchase for the month of June. I got this from GTalk. I know. I still have many eyebrow kits from elf to finish but the hell, I was surprised that she is selling a brandnew Modelco Eyebrow kit for a cheaper price (price in Manila is around Php 1,400). I love this until I had my hair dyed. Can't use it for now   since it works well with black hairs. I might consider buying the Elf treat and tame one of these days. But for now, say hello to my cabinet. Oh I almost forgot, I use the stencils every single day. It helps me alot in making my eyebrows well groomed. I was thinking of doing a eyebrow tutorial using powder and wax, or pencils, or both. If you like the idea, feel free to comment down below.

Everbilena Original Pencil in Brown, Php 80.00
Compared to one I used before, Ever Bilena Eye Color Pencil in Brown, this is php 8.00 cheaper and the color is much lighter than EB Eyecolor. But in terms of consistency, EB Eyecolor is waxier. The only reason why I purchased this instead of the EB Eyecolor is because the shade is lighter brown. EB Eyecolor in Brown is good for people with dark hair. I will be doing a comparison and swatching in the future, no worries.
Etude House Soft Touch Auto Lipliner in 02, Php 98
My last makeup purchased. I'm into nude lips right now. I like wearing nude lips more than pinks so I decided to buy a nude lip liner. The color is just okay. It's a nude brown with peach undertone. It looks exactly the same as my lip color.

Non-Makeup things!

Etude House Petit Darling Nails in OR203, BR305, PP901. Php 98 each
My first nail polishes purchased! Yes, you read it right. I'm never a nail polish person though I've been using nail polish before. But I don't buy my own nail polish. I always borrow my sister's and mother's nail polishes. But now, I decided to buy 3 from Etude House since they're having 20 percent off until June 21. The nail polishes from EH are really great! Stays longer than drugstore nail polishes plus the colors are really nice. I don't like the matte nail polishes though.

Etude House Essence Mask, Php 58.00
I haven't tried it yet. But i will review this as soon as I can.
Etude House Natural Jelly Cleansing Puff, Php178
Again, haven't tried it yet also since it is written in Korean. But But I guess, this is a puff you use in scrubbing your face??
Happy Teatime Water Proof Lip and Eye Remover Tissue, Php 148
I was about to buy Eye and Lip Makeup remover (liquid form) at Etude House since it is much cheaper than this. But for the 3rd time I went back, it is always out of stock! So I decided to buy this instead and I was really satisfied. I like the smell and really removes my waterproof mascara.
Etude House Greentea Nose Pack, Php 38
I haven't tried it yet since I don't have much blackheads on my nose for now. But I will definitely use this one of these days.
Etude House AC Clinic Calming Mist Spray, Php 298

The only reason why i purchased this is because of Secret Garden. Remember the girl who uses spray thing-y to moisturize her face. I told myself, "Oh, it looks fun!" So I decided to purchase anything that you have to spray on your face. I was thinking of buying the other one which is the Aqua Cure Mist but since it was pricier at Php 448 I decided to buy the AC Clinic instead. haha! Plus, since it has salicylic acid, it helps prevent acne.
SkinFood Gold Caviar Premium Kit, Php 500-600 at Ebay.ph
One thing I hate about Skinfood in Malls, they're extremely overpriced! Yes, extremely like 100-200% higher than the price in Korea or even in Ebay. The heck, never buy skinfood at Malls. Okay? haha! Anyhow, I haven't tried it yet since I still have alot of skincare products that I need to finish. but I will do a review on this once I'm ready.
Body Recipe Eye Cream in Cucumber
Actually, my twin sister is the one who bought this. Ohh, i love it! It moisturizes my eyes without hurting your pockets plus I love the scents of cucumber.
EO Flexwear Contact Lense in Gray, Php 720
Yes, it's a gray contact lense though it looks yellow. haha! It's okay, I'm not inlove but I don't hate it either. It is comfortable to wear, doesn't hurt my eyes especially when I use the solution down below. BUT, I'm still inlove with Geo Lenses. They look great one my eyes, the only con with Geo Lenses is that they are so freaking drying on my eyes. I wish EO would offer the same colors like the one from Geo Angel range.

Solo Care Aqua, Php 259
So far the best solution I ever tried! For 5 years of wearing contact lenses, I've tried different brands of solution like NeoPlus, Sauflon, Freshlook and other solutions that I can no longer remember the name. But really, this is the best so far. I wear contact lenses up to 12 hours straight and belive it, my eyes doesn't hurt that much compared with other solutions. Another thing, with this, I find it easier to put my contact lenses on. If you are someone who wears contact lenses, I highly recommend you to try this solution.

Etude House Hair Bubbles in Natural Brown

Hi lovelies!

When it comes to hair, I really hate experimenting. “What if it won’t look good on me?” But honestly, I’ve been really jealous with people with brown hair. In fact, I was thinking of getting my hair color done at the salon. But my mother always telling me that my hair is good as it is and that I should not try dyeing my hair since it is already beautiful. Hair coloring will just make it dry, she often says. And the funny thing is that even when I get my hair cut at the salon and I started asking on how much it would cost me if I would have my hair colored, the one in the salon would answered me with the price and a follow up statement that goes like this, “Pero bagay naman sayo yun black. Sayang kasi yung buhok mo pag pinacolor mo.” haha! Really, they keep telling me that. I don’t know why.

Anyways, when I heard about this Hair bubble at Etude House I was very happy. It’s very cheap and I wouldn’t have to worry about wasting my money if the color wouldn’t look great on me. Atleast, deep black is also available, just in case I won't like the brown hair. ^_^ Plus, I heard this won’t make your hair dry unlike the typical hair coloring.

At Etude house, I was having dilemma whether to get the Dark Brown or the Natural Brown. The truth is I would really like to get myself the Dark Brown since the Natural Brown looks so brown! But then, I thought that since my hair is already black, I’m afraid that Dark Brown won’t show up on my hair.

So yes, to cut it short. I purchased the Natural Brown color.
The box looks like this.
See the color of the hair of the girl in the box, it looks so BROWN! I don’t want a brown brown hair.

Just to give you an idea, this is the hair that I wanted.
Not this.

So I thought that maybe, I could achieve the hair that I want by using only half of the hair bubble and not getting my hair all dyed.

Here’s how I do it. (If you’re wondering if I can read Korean, I can’t! I just googled it. Etude house should write their instructions in English. It is really annoying when the instruction is already there but you can’t understand it. What a waste!)

1. Open the sachet included in the box. Then, dispense off the product from the sanchet into the bottle with pump which is ofcourse also included in the box.
2. upon doing so, tilt the bottle from side to side to mix the two liquids.
3. Wear the plastic stuffs included in the box.
4. Pump the bottle until the product comes out.
5. I start applying it on the outer layer and going in. I did not apply that much inside since I opted for a highlight effect. (not totally brown). I only used less than 1/2 of the hair bubble solution but if you like your hair to be totally brown, go ahead and use all the products onto your hair.
6. Leave your hair for at least 30 mins. You can use shower cap or not. It’s up to you.
7. After 30 mins, wash your hair with the Silky Perfumed Treatment included. Use it as a conditioner, not a shampoo.
8. Let your hair dry and you’re done.

So here’s my hair. I’m actually liking it. I’m really sorry for the lame shots.

All with flash, except for the last 4 pictures.

Oh by the way, I would also like to take this chance to say sorry to all my readers. I feel guilty for not using all the products on my hair because it felt like I did not really showed you what will be the real outcome if I put everything on my hair. I’m sure this is not the outcome you wish for. Sorry for only using 1/2 of the product, but I can’t really take the risk. I don’t want my hair to be so brown like the one in the box. I actually like it the way I did it.

To make it up to you ladies, I’ll link Say’s blog here. I’m sure you’ll get a better idea of the shade on her blog. CLICK HERE FOR HER REVIEW.

Thank you for understanding.

Price: Php 378
Would I buy again? Yes, definitely! Next time since this is just temporary hair coloring.
Rate: 5/5

I highly recommend this for people:
-who still don’t know what color suits them (you could try if wine red, natural brown, dark brown or deep black). Atleast they won't waste thousands of money just to try experimenting on what color looks best on them.
-who are afraid to try hair coloring because it might damage their precious hair
-who likes to try cheap hair coloring
-who likes to dye their hair but are saving money

*Edit: It's a bit drying on my hair after few weeks. I use conditioner everyday to make my hair softer. But it's not super dry like you'll hair get frizzy and all. I just think that my hair now is a bit drying than it was before.
