Rathinirvedam (Malayalam: രതിനിര്വേദം) is a 2011 Malayalam–language coming–of–age film, written by late P. Padmarajan, directed by T. K. Rajeev Kumar, and produced by Suresh Kumar under the banner of Revathy Kalamandhir. The film is a remake of the 1978 Malayalam film of the same name, written by Padmarajan, directed by Bharathan, and produced by Hari Pothen in the banner of Supriya Films.The film stars Shweta Menon in the role of Rathi, and Sreejith in the role of Pappu.The shooting of the film was done in the Onnattukara area of Kayamkulam and Mavelikkara, where the story is set at. Rathinirvedam was passed with a U/A certificate by the censor board. It released on June 16 in Kerala and on June 17 in rest of India, including six screens in Chennai.
