Yesterday I turned 16! I wasn't expecting much of my parents because they had already got me tickets for V Festival, but they surprised me by getting me this gorgeous necklace and these shoes, both of which I am definitely wearing for my prom next month!
A couple of weeks ago, I saw these shoes in Dune and loved them but my mum said that I should look for similar ones that are a bit cheaper; she must have gone back and bought them for me! I was so happy when I opened the box and saw them.
The vintage necklace was a brilliant surprise, I had discussed prom jewellery with my parents for a while, and had decided that something sparkly would stand out and work well against the simplicity of my dress (oooh there's a hint at what my dress is like!) I love the necklace they have chosen for me. The fact that it is vintage from the 1950s makes it even more special because no-one else will have it!
I feel so grateful to my lovely parents. I cannot wait to wear it all for prom and show you the pictures so you can finally see my prom dress!
